Act Globally Think Locally

Network Technology has enabled so many things.
It has given us the power to connect.
It has made us synthesize.
It has made us participate.
It has made us commit.
Regardless of where we are and where the other side of line is.
Famous cliche of "Think Globally, Act Locally" now has to be flipped over.
Most of us today have already experienced what the "global" working environment is, and
in that world, global becomes local and vice versa.

Let me tell you one example.
In global environment, your boss, or your subordinate do not have to sit next to you or
be in a same office location. For example, my boss can be in U.S. while I work at an office in Japan.
We can have remote meeting using polycom and web-conference tool etc.
That is a global environment, in terms of being in distant places.

Although your direct contacts of labor may reside in another country, you will still have to get along with
someone locally, of course.
In my opinion, it becomes much harder things to do when your head is somewhere around overseas
but you will still be in the same place with same people.  It may be some challenges.

Overall, this is what technologies have enabled us;
to interact with others regardless of location.
In that world,
I think we need to act globally, and think locally.

Tell me what you think.
