itunes movie

since whole country is in "shut-down" mode (in fact it is),
I am taking full advantage of it; i do something i usually can't do,
 that is watch movies.

i found out that itunes now have movies too,
though the number of selections are limited for my country.
however, i managed to find some of reasonable ones
and tried to rent a couple of them.

first, i rented "An Inconvenient Truth",
a documentary which mainly feature Al Gore's talks
on environmental issues.

this is the one that i wanted to see for a long long time,
so i was happy to
watch it and even happier for the content of it.
this documentary really is an example of "telling a story from data".
i was actually pretty surprised by the fact that Gore in fact told everything
based on scientific data. since i have known him
as the vice president of US during the time of Clinton (which now proves
that i was not very familiar with who really he was and is),
the fact that Gore has been doing for 30 years
on the road and given talks for
more than thousands of times are just overwhelming.

recently i have read a news that Gore could become first carbon billionaire.
god bless him!!!

change of topic.

football movies. human drama. true stories.
sports.

above are some of the key queries that i looked upon the itunes store.

and i encountered three;

i would like to take a note on each of these.

1. Remember the titans.
     - a good story. no one can beat true stories.

2. Blind Side
     - again, no one can beat true stories.
     - also, i liked one of their ending theme;

i still cannot believe this is a true story...

really is a good movie and makes me think that i can do it.

...and the last but not the least,

3. Invictus
   - alas! all these football movies make me feel like a teenager again!
   - this one is interesting since it has some political or historical aspect.

morgan freeman is a real actor, i guess.

every time i see him in movies, he makes "sense" of himself
that he is in it.

i cannot explain any better than this.

but to me, it seems natural...the actors are more matured
than the previous two.

this is a kind of my leisure for spring break sort of.
from tomorrow, i will go back to writing dissertation proposal
(actually it should be a status report ; )

pray for japan.

I am a volunteer translator for Japanese-English / Spanish.
If there is anything I can do to help the recovery from disaster,
I will be happy to support.

cheers.
